Allam MaallaAllam Maalla


Allam Maalla, Professor, Ph.D., postdoctoral fellow, with a primary research focus on Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and their applications. Prof. Allam Maalla is recognized as a distinguished foreign expert (Foreign High-Level Talent) and scholar in Guangdong Province, China. He is a full member (academician) of the European Academy of Natural Sciences. He serves as a core expert in the social science research base of Guangdong Province and holds the Talent Card of Guangdong Province.

Currently, he is the director of the Institute of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence and previously served as the director of the Institute of Open Data Business Applications at Guangzhou College of Commerce. Additionally, he is a committee member of the Big Data Professional Committee of the Guangdong Computer Society.

Prof. Allam Maalla has received several prestigious awards, including the first prize in the National Natural Science Excellent Academic Paper Award (2017) for his paper, Construction of Information Ecosystem on Enterprise Information Portal (EIP). He also won the second prize at the First Excellent Higher Education Research Achievement Award of Guangdong Higher Education Society (2021) for his research on Key Technologies for the Construction of E-commerce Majors in Colleges and Universities - Research on Key Technologies Based on E-commerce Analysis Platform. His paper Research on Fault Diagnosis of Fieldbus State in Converter Station won the third prize in the Excellent Paper Award of the Guangdong Computer Society (2021).

Prof. Allam Maalla has served as chief editor for several international journals, leading or participating in over 30 national and provincial-level research projects. He has published over 100 domestic and international academic papers, with over 70 indexed by SCI/EI. Most of his SCI papers were published in top international journals, where he was the first or corresponding author. Additionally, he has applied for 36 national invention patents, mentored students to win 33 discipline competition awards, and received 1 teaching achievement award.

He has played a significant role in formulating talent training programs for data science and big data technology, standardizing and managing teaching processes, and establishing and guiding scientific research and teaching teams.
