Chen Xiaoping
Mr. Chen Xiaoping is the Ph. D leveled chief engineer of VIOMI Electric Technology Co. He is dedicated to the R&D and industrialization of "smart home appliances + smart home + software services" for more than 20 years. In 2022, Dr. Chen Xiaoping was selected as a leading entrepreneurial talent within the “National Ten Thousand Talents Program”. As technical director, Dr. Chen led his research team to solve a variety of technical bottlenecks, including EDR purification, AI voice + WiFi6 IoT chip module development, and AI cardiopulmonary testing. They also have achieved numerous industrial results, such as IoT chips, realizing the interconnection of all objectives. His team obtained approval for two core technology research projects in the city of Shunde, with total funding of 6 million CNY. Their technical achievements were appraised by a panel of experts organized by the Guangdong Artificial Intelligence Industry Association, and are of an internationally advanced level. They remain a leading form of technology in the intelligent connection of mass household appliances and dynamic perception based on digital synesthesia information technology. These achievements have led to the award of three China Patent Excellence Awards, a Guangdong Province Patent Silver Award, and a Scientific and Technological Progress Award Second Prize from the Guangdong Artificial Intelligence Industry Association, as well as a Science and Technology Progress Award Second Prize from the Guangdong Electric Industry Association. During career of Dr. Chen, he has applied for more than 2,000 patents, more than 400 inventions, and more than 100 international patents.
During the more than 10 years he worked at Midea, he led the development of the company’s Small Domestic Appliances business, which garnered them a National High-tech Enterprise award. He also guided a team research project entitled "Full Convection IH Micro-Pressure Smart Rice Cooker" which received the highest award in the home appliance industry - the First Prize National Science and Technology Progress Award for Home Appliances. He successfully developed a number of core products, mastered the relevant core technologies of energy conversion, intelligent control, and water quality treatment, and helped create a complete electromagnetic and electric heating industry chain.
As Chief Engineer of VIOMI Group, Dr. Chen has led the Company to continuously explore the smart home appliance industry, breaking through numerous technical barriers and developing water purifier products with new functions. Meanwhile, he was in charge of all technical decisions and strategic planning for the Company, and led the three subsidiaries of VIOMI Co., Ltd., VIOMI Internet and Lizi to become national high-tech enterprises. Of these, Lizi Technology was awarded the title of National Specialized and New "Little Giant" Enterprise, establishing a doctoral workstation and postdoctoral research workstation branch. Dr. Chen led VIOMI Group to become a leading player in the domestic smart home industry, providing low-cost and efficient solutions for the promotion of smart homes in China, and advancing the high-quality development of the water purification and smart home industries.
