Shu Bin

Dr. Shu Bin received a master's degree in sports medicine from Nanjing Medical University in 1994 and a doctor's degree in rehabilitation medicine and physiotherapy from the Third Military Medical University in 2000. From 2009 to 2010, Dr. Shu visited in the Thomas Jefferson University in the United States (visiting scholar). Dr. Shu worked in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine in Southwest Hospital of the Third Military Medical University from 1987 to 2000, Director of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine in Daping Hospital of the Third Military Medical University from 2000 to 2013, Associate Dean of Daping Trauma Hospital of the Third Military Medical University. From 2013 to 2016, Dr. Shu served as vice president of the affiliated University-Town Hospital of Chongqing Medical University and vice president of the affiliated Rehabilitation Hospital of Chongqing Medical University. From 2017 to 2021, Dr. Shu was in charge of the Rehabilitation Medicine Center of the University-Town Hospital affiliated to Chongqing Medical University. Dr. Shu has been the president of Chongqing Academy of Modern Health Science since 2022.

Dr. Shu edited 12 authoritative textbooks, such as Clinical Rehabilitation Engineering for national undergraduate textbooks, Trauma Rehabilitation for postgraduate textbooks, Core skills of Orthopaedic Rehabilitation physicians for standardized training for specialist physicians, and so on. Deputy chief editor participated in editing 15 monographs, published more than 100 papers as the first author or newsletter author, won 1 second prize for military medical achievements as the first adult, and obtained 5 patents.  Dr. Shu's academic posts mainly include a member of the American Association of physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Medicine (AAPRM), a director of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, a director of the Rehabilitation Physicians Branch of the Chinese Physicians Association, the chairman of the Chongqing Association of Health Promotion and Health Education, the first chairman of the rehabilitation physicians branch of the Chongqing Physicians Association, the chairman of the special committee of rehabilitation medicine of the Chongqing Association of Health Promotion and Health Education. Dr. Shu is a visiting professor of Chongqing University and a distinguished professor of Chongqing Medical University. Dr. Shu is a reviewer in Ministry of Science and Technology of China Major R & D projects and a reviewer of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Dr. Shu is editor- in-chief of Journal of Health Promotion and Rehabilitation (JHPR) and chief scientist of International Health Group (IHG).

Dr. Shu has been engaged in rehabilitation medicine for more than 30 years, specializing in trauma rehabilitation and rehabilitation engineering. In the aspect of trauma rehabilitation, Dr. Shu has done a lot of research on skeletal muscle injury and repair, and for the first time proposed the method of using high-power low-intensity laser to inhibit the proliferation of traumatic scar; the largest hydrotherapy rehabilitation system in China has been established in military hospitals. it provides a new way for trauma patients. Dr. Shu, who edited the first textbook of trauma rehabilitation in China, established a Chinese model of trauma rehabilitation and is a pioneer of trauma rehabilitation in China. In terms of rehabilitation engineering, Dr. Shu established the spatio - temporal parameters of Chinese normal adult gait for the first time. Dr. Shu edited the first undergraduate textbook of Clinical Rehabilitation Engineering in China, which promoted the combination of rehabilitation engineering and clinical medicine, and promoted the popularization and development of rehabilitation engineering in China. Dr. Shu is the leader of clinical rehabilitation engineering in China
