Wu Hai-LongWu Hai-Long

Wu Hai-Long, born in Dinghai, Zhoushan city, Zhejiang province, holds a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Hunan University and a E.D. in Applied Chemistry from Chiba University in Japan. Yuelu Scholar specially appointed by Hunan University, Second level Professor/Doctoral Supervisor. Executive deputy director and former director of the founding office of the state Key Laboratory of Chemo-/Biosensing and Chemometrics (Hunan University), member and consultant of the Academic Committee, and long-term responsible person for the construction of the national key discipline of analytical chemistry in Hunan University. He has been engaged in teaching, research, and management work in the field of analytical chemistry, including the development and application of chemometrics, chemical biosensing technology, and analysis for a long time. He has also been involved in new theories and applications of chemometrics, especially in multi-way calibration, precise and rapid quantification of complex system by mathematical separation, and high-way pattern recognition in chemistry. His main achievements have reached international advanced and leading levels. I have been invited to cowrite multiple English monographs on multi-dimensional calibration in chemistry, leading international cutting-edge research and achieving a series of original and innovative results. Served as an editorial board member for more than ten academic journals, including the authoritative Journal of Chemometrics of the International Society of Chemometrics. Wu has led and participated in more than 30 scientific research projects, including the 973 pre research, National Natural Science Foundation Innovation Group, Key Projects, General Projects (7 projects), and National Education Ministry Innovation Team of the Ministry of Science and Technology, National Natural Science Foundation of China, and National Education Ministry. Published over 350 academic research papers, including over 290 SCI papers. More than 7000 citations have been cited, and for four consecutive years (2020-2023), he has been selected as a highly cited scholar in the field of Chinese chemistry or chemical engineering by Elsevier. He has contributed to 10 Chinese and English academic works (6 published by China Science Press and 2 by Elsevier Group). Among them, he participated in the English academic book "Fundamental and Analytical Applications of Multiway Calibration" (published by Elsevier Group and officially released in August 2015), and was invited to write two chapters, with 165 pages in the main text, accounting for about one-third of the book's length. The book has become a bestseller of Elsevier Publishing Group (A Best Seller) and has great academic influence in the field of big data processing technology. Recently, Wu has also participated in Data Handling in Science and Technology, Elsevier, 2024 (Hai Long Wu *, Tong Wang, Ru Qin Yu *. Chapter 22- New application of trilinear decomposition model: Theory, data processing, and classical quantitative applications, in A.C. Olivieri, G.M. Escandar, H.C. Goicoechea, et al. (Eds.) pp. 549-635 and Hai Long Wu *, Tong Wang, Ru Qin Yu *, Chapter 23- New application of trilinear decomposition model: New quantitative and qualitative applications, in: A.C. Olivieri, G.M. Escandar, H.C. Goicoechea, et al. (Eds.) 2024, pp. 637-670; He has won the second prize of the State Natural Science Award and the first prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of Hunan Province (both ranking third and being the main contributors to representative achievements), the Liang Shuquan Award for the seventh basic research of analytical chemistry of the Chinese Chemical Society, the Second Outstanding Contribution Award for Computer Chemistry of the Chinese Chemical Society (only two have been awarded so far) and other academic awards.
